Organizing Life

I've got a great group of friends that meets about four times a year...not much but each of our meetings is filled with laughter, sharing, sometimes crying, but mainly rejoicing in our friendship. At the beginning of each year each one of us choses a word to live by....my word for this year is organize and so far I'm not living it. I am forever starting projects and never finishing them. So far today I've started organizing the computer room, going through the mail, mopping the kitchen floor, and now blogging. The only one that will be finished is posting onto the blog. Anyway, I chose "organize" as my word to get my life in order before heading off to Ireland for three months of intense cooking school at Ballymaloe. I leave in 60 days so the count down is on!

Inspiration

You never know when inspiration is going to arrive and it arrived today by way of an email from a friend telling me about this amazing website called 101 cookbooks. The site is www.101cookbooks.com. Fantastic recipes and just fun reading! I can completely relate to her comment about having hundreds of cookbooks but making the same thing over and over again. Thank you Heidi Swanson for being my culinary inspiration and I'm making the tempeh curry recipe for dinner tonight!

Posted Pic...woo-hoo!

Got my picture posted today which feels like a huge accomplishment. I did have some help from my daughter though; okay, she really did the whole thing I just pushed the button to post it but hey at least I can push the button!

The Beginning

First part of this cooking journey is starting this blog...I must admit I feel like I'm a teenager instead of a middle age women. This is a good way to start this adventure!
